I am playing Russia in the Grand Campaign and took 3 of the provinces of Kazan then made peace with them. Yes, I know that was a dumb newbie thing to do. Now I want to wipe them out entirely, but if I declare war on them I will lose 5 stability. Is there some way to provoke them into declaring war on me? I have sent insult after insult to them to no avail. I also wonder how I can take back all the provinces Poland-Lithuania have taken from Holy Mother Russia. Since they are a major power I can't take every province including the capital and annex them like one can do with minors such as Kazan.
Poland-Lithuania will require me to take only 3 provinces at a time, declare peace, then declare war at a loss of 5 stability. Is there a way around this?

Sorry for the clumsy quoting. How do I do it properly anyway?

I take it that you want to erase their miserable country from the face of Europe?

What you can do is to go into a protracted war. Hold on to what you have taken and build up more troops to advance slowly. Once you have taken all the provinces in the country, sue for peace.

At this point, you will get a message that you can annex the whole country. Click on annex and Bob's your uncle.

Hope that answers your question.

As for provoking the enemy into attacking you, I'm looking for an answer to that too.

The peace treaty only lasts five years. You are then free to attack them again. (The game doesn't tell you when the five years is up, you just have to remember roughly what date it should expire.)

You could try to bring down their government. Capture all provinces except one, wait for war exhaustion to bring positive revolt risk, wait for revolt, gov. will fall, you get all the provinces you hold except capital. Or do the same thing when their stability is already low and they have a revolting province--preferably in some place they can't reach very easily. But if you eat Poland in one bite, be ready for about 60 countries to declare war on you at once.
