Default camera view help

I always prefer the default camera view. Naturally over the course of a game I move the camera so I can see things easy to place something or dig. I can never seem to get the camera back to the default view. Is there a key or a way to make the camera go back to the default view?

The closest to that would be to click on the Prince icon at the top UI. it will focus the camera on him. As will clicking on any of the other Dwarves' icons will cycle through theose as well.

In the interface at the top of the screen. Clicking the symbols will move the camera to the dwarves they represent.

Click on any of these to cycle through those Dwarves of that Class. The camera will focus on them one by one.

Thanks for the replies. That is nice I'll use it for my dwarflings for promotions. That is however not what I meant when I posted. I'd like a key to get the the default camera view from when you start the map.

Yeah, we know. But like I said above . . . . this is the closest we have for now.

I'm not sure, but you can press F1 to get to the Prince aswell. (or maybe another F1 - F10 Hotkey)

Yes, F1 is also the hot-key for the Prince.
it's all in the Options - Controls tab.
You can remap them to something else if you would like.
