This event should fire immediately after you research defensive focus. It only fired when im 44% of the way through the fighter research, which is like a month after i finished defensive focus(or something like that).

These people don't appear out of nowhere, you know. I'd say that getting the event activating the new team within a month sounds fine to me.

I went market liberal without going through election events, researched defensive focus but i never got the tech team event.
I noticed that if you did NOT elect left and have the aircraft companies nationalized, you can still get the nationalized tech team events. Like SNASCO A is no longer available because they improved, stuff like that.

The event checks against the political_left slider, but I see there's a mismatch in triggers between the nationalization and the remain-in-private-hands events and a local/global flag mismatch - don't know how that got in there. This is probably the source of this and I'll submit fixed versions for next release.
