This is not a support forum issue. Most likely you are using old event numbers which have been changed in a patch. See db\events\randomevents.txt to find the new ids for these events.

Just take a look at the FAQ forum, the CHeat FAQ has all the new event numbers.

I checked in the FAQ, I tried several just to see what would happen. The only ones that work are, the names or words, none of the event ##### work. This is with 1.08 AGCEEP. The 1.08 regular works fine though.

I even typed in event with wrong numbers, and it says incorrect or something. I can live with it, thanks.

We do not support user made mods in any way. YOu should check with them in their subforum.

That is because mods do not have the same events as vanilla EU2 so a FAQ about vanilla EU2 events will not do you any good. You need to check in the AGCEEP forum or look in their event file(s) to find appropriate events.

jdrou was in a more specific mood than me today. :)

I like to use this cheat (only one), but it dosen't work. I tried exceptional year and that dosen't work either. I stink at keeping inflation down, that's why I use it. Any suggestions to this problem.
Since I feel in an obnoxious mood today... even if it's 'only one' cheat, it's fairly major, since inflation is one of the two main mechanisms for preventing ridiculous expansion. It also gives you a pile of cash! Perhaps you should add your own event which just zaps inflation... or even decide to curtail your expansion occasionally, and learn to live with some level of 'ouch'.

(In my first game, when I was initially under the impression that % inflation = % per year, as it does it real life, I thought it was far worse... :) )

TO each there own, it very hard to convince someone the game is more fun if they don't cheat.

I clearly stated "that I could live with it", and since I play AGCEEP and can't use it (I would if I could), is strictly my choice. Besides, I would only use it to keep inflation at 60% not 0%, (is 60 to low?). And as far to add my own event to zap inflation, that would be cheating :) But I do understand where you are coming from, I have been gaming since M&M I and have never used cheats before. Anyway, hope your in a better mood.

Well you can just look through the AGCEEP's event file and find the numbers you are looking for.

A little more time than that, considering you have to exit the game and restart it, if not follow the recomendation of a reboot. Add to that the fact that a reload will alter the current course of the game as we all know.

Just checking back, I never did get it to work with AGCEEP 1.08. I am playing Spain with just under 100 years to go, and I have to admit I like it better without using the cheat. So far my inflation has never risen over 5.0, and I have managed to have it as low as 0.0 much of the time, due to playing a passive game, only one war.

I'm ranked second behind France, and plan on going to war with them and see if I can pull it out in the bottom of the 9th. I think I waited to long, but just feeling it out, it's like starting over, that's why I chose one of the powers. Next I will try a weaker country. I'm glad it won't work, and thanks again for the input.

Everything worked out in the end then.
