I was just wondering-what files do i have to modify in order to add new events and leaders (stolen from MDS)? Is it something to do with those Russian files I can't open?

All countries will have regular random leader in next version. Many countries will be with new ministers. As also - I always need help with ministers... Or I may generate them at random :)

You may use carrires. You can't make only two missions. You can't bomb land by CAGs even in vanilla, and port & bases are not important in TNW as i think.
 
GDP has nothing to do with the capabilities of a countries industry, although I agree that it should be changed(modified)

No, I use only industry rating of GDP for IC calculation. After it - my subjective peacetime modifers and effecs of technologies.

I don't think IC is too low, some countries really almost have no heavy industry.
 
If that is how it's ment to be, do not change it, I merely think a few states should have a bit higher or lower, but they are about where I would like to seem them, after all, we are not exactly talking about a war time industry, that the great war.
 
I think it's ok...the thing I'm worried about is can russia, chc, prk, etc. support that IC at full war settings, more often than not they are all set except 4 1 resource (usually energy) then...boom! They have less IC than austria. Still very impressive set up you have, the only issues I've seen so far have already been stated (no ministers/leaders, every1's isolationistic, AI not willing 2 retake captured provinces from guerilla's, events, etc.) but something caught my eye...why do subs have such low org (16 4 LA class)? At those levels it'd be tantamount to suicide in sending them out, subs might have vulnerabilities but this doesn't look right. Anyway...need help?

1. Russia, China have peacetime modifers, but they are low. Also techs affect this modifier too.
2. I create startup initial trade treates between important countries. Now AI can survive, he has -5..-20 in some resource. I will continue work in this direction.
3. We are working with ministers. ENG, USA, RUS, JAP, GER, Fra, BRA... (LAT, KAZ...) already have them or are in progress. But ministers are own headache

4. All countries will have random regular leaders in next version.
5. Isolationism is all right. It is feature. This project implies quite long peacetime development through (alt-)history & dynamic random events.
6. AI... No one from our team is good with AI. I and my team comrade tried to create +/- workable static silly AI for 1996 :(
7. Events! I have billions ideas about events =) But i think events must be the last phase in MOD. I am working with some events now
8. I wanted to make SS with low org like in HSR, maybe a bit more. They shouldn't have large period of fighting. I will look at subs for carefully soon, you are not the first who is angry with them.
9. Yes! We always need help! What can you do?

if you need any research done, contact me. I've got no real experience w/ modding, but worst case scenario I can fiddle around w/ Hoi2 events & change them 4 modern times. Speaking of ministers, have u gotten the go ahead from mds2 to use theirs? Granted they're only good from c.2000 on but... as for the subs, since they can't carry nukes (never got this, kinda defeats the purpose of having them), maybe you can just make the ICBM's have longer range (mds2 icbms have 9000mi) so that if ww3 happens we have the ability 2 hit 'em hard :D

I have only early version of MDS, there is no much ministers there. If you can send me minister's files from MDS with pictures from your latest version - it will be great!
I don't like idea about range... Maybe i will even reduce it :rolleyes:

And what researches would you like to do? Today we need information about ministers :wacko: only. And event writers will be necessary, but only always in touch writer - for deep events discussion.
