Designer's Cut: Quick battle problem

Hi, I recently updated the game with both the 1.6 patch and have now added the "Designer's Cut" addon and I am now getting a frequent crash when I select a "quick battle". This happens just as the switch occurs from the 2d loading screen to the 3d battle simulation. This seems to only affect the "quick battle" mode, battles I create myself seem to load fine.

2GB RAM
AC'97 on board S/card
latest version graphic/sound drivers/directX 9/Win XP

Where have you found the "Designer's Cut"? In the press release it says "it will be available for download on October 27".

The Designers cut is available for download now if you preorder the Privateer expansion at Gamersgate.

Seems Paradox/Nitro forgot tio mention it here to their main customer base :rofl:

Hmm, might be best to email it to a dev to look at as it's a pretty huge 739KB ?

Well...I just hope you got the Euro version of the game and a Euro computer....database files are not stored the same worldwide.

I purchased EIC itself through D2D UK applied the no 3 patch which seemed to go ok then downloaded the designer's cut from Gamersgate UK. So hopefully it should be all right on that front although the error messages did state something about missing localisation files? This region/company locking business is very annoying though.

I have also just discovered the same problem with my game it also Freezes at the end of the battle when all ships flee the battle it which i have posted the relevant details in the Crash at Battle Thread.
