There seems to be an obvious problem with AI picking destiny trait affinity -- picking specific tome might require picking a specific affinity. Like maybe you want an ai pick Great Transformation as its 5th tome, but if it picks a wrong choice in quest it'll have only 2 shadow affinity.

I mean… how does it work if you are on a map with unbound tomes? Does the ascended AI follow the path without restrictions on new maps? Or is it forced to deviate?

Does the AI remember which quest choice when it ascends? Or will it pick randomly?

Are there rules that govern how the AI picks their destiny traits at game start?
AI Rulers will pick the interpretation that aligns with the Primary Affinity of their assigned Personality. So a Militant Warlord with a Vision of Ruin will interpret it as Chaos while a Strategist Warlord would interpret it as Astral.

What about rulers that have order/materium/nature AI personality but they have Vision of ruin for example?

@Triumph Jordi Could you please clarify the wording of these Destiny Traits:
Vision of Destiny - does it really give +2 of Affinity as shown, when choosing its interpretation (or is it a mistake and should be +1 affinity based on the chosen interpretation)?

Vision of Promise - "Gain a powerful Throne City upon completion" - does it mean one's empire's capital = Throne City transfers to some new rewarded city? or your Throne City gets new buffs?

Vision of Destiny gives +2 Affinity but doesn't get a starting bonus like the other Traits

The results depend on which interpretation of the Vision you follow.

With getting more access (again) to sources of additional affinity beyond the tomes (Lithorine Scroll, Architect Monuments, Destiny traits) and the unbounc tomes map modifier, there may come situations where the planned tome path of a build deviates from what the AI can do or decides.

It is interesting if it then resets to defaults, as that might make certain characters only work as intended under player control.
