Deus Vault Patch?

I have the retail version of CK and want to purchase Deus Vault from Gamers Gate but why is there no information on the correct patching procedure - i have browsed the forums but no one seems to know for sure.
Do i patch first and then download Deus Vault? I remember the same lack of information when i bought H.O.I Armageddon.
Anyway thnx for any replies.

AFAIK, it should be just CK+DV, no patches needed.

I feel your pain.

I tried several things.

But ended up with something that atleast seem to work, as in the game loads:

Make a clean install of CK and install Deus Vult on top of it.

I havent tried patching afterwards. But the game loads the way i described.

All you have to do is run the installation-program, it will install DV itself.

This is what it says on the GamersGate-site

How do i play?
To download your games you need the GamersGate Downloader. Download and open the Downloader and follow the instructions to play your games.

The shortcut will be located in Start menu » Programs » GamersGate AB » GamersGate Downloader

So download it and just follow the instruction on screen

Just make sure you have Crusader Kings in the default directory.

Damn - sorry for my spelling "vult", anyway it seems we are all guessing if we patch first or last so i've decided not to buy from gamersgate unless we find out the correct procedure. Thnx for the replies.

I am not guessing at all.

DV is an expansion to CK, so in order to install DV you need to have CK installed first, which is totally logical and doesn't need to be explained. Even though it is told on GamersGate

Requires the original game to play

Once you have download DV the program will tell you what to do, so there is no need for a special readme file. You also don't have to manually install anything, just launch the program that's all.

Also what 'patching' are people talking about ? You don't need to patch anything. DV is not a patch

You don't need to patch at all and definedly do not patch after installing Deus Vult.

Good grief Veldmaarschalk, i know DV is an expansion and it's all very "logical" - i was just asking if the DV install from gamersgate had to be patched in any way. Ok so now i know thnx for your help everyone. :wacko:
