I doubt there'll be an answer to that; but I'm always curious where on the whole "we just use them for free labor" and "they are basically contract-workers for their specific project" spectrum this sorta stuff falls into.

Given how heavily it's marketed, and used to sell Skylines 2, it can hardly be argued this is just an independent modding effort after all.
It's been confirmed before that they are under contract. It's very unlikely the contract is for free work, but I don't think we know what the actual terms are.

You don't need to live in the region you're making... see you soon in Africa from Europe... if i could call it this way.
I mean there isnt alot of creators from the middle east (I know you dont have to live there to make a pack) it is kinda hard to capture the architecture and/or styles of the area without previously living there or at least visiting in person. If someone want to create a middle eastern pack and they are not from that place they will just use Clichés and wont actually capture the beauty of the architecture and/or styles of the middle east. you may be able to build from just images but it wouldnt be as good as an actual native.

You should do a Portugal/ Spain (basically Iberia) regional pack. I think there's a lot to offer on those regions since they were very important in the Roman Empire but also in the Renaissance Era! Surfaces of the glorious "Calçada Portuguesa" would be top notch.
Also there's a lot of Mixed Row-Housing on Pedestrian-only streets, which would be just incredible!

If you don't know what a "calçada" is, I have attached some examples below! Also some Mixed Row-Housing examples.

Images are based in Braga ; Lisbon ( PT ) and Vigo ( ES ).

These are the scheduled release times in CET (events from our official discord server):

French Pack is Oct 28 - 4pm CET
German Pack is Nov 11 - 4pm CET
UK Pack is Nov 25 - 4pm CET
Will this work on the Windows Store version since we still haven't the latest hotfix that fixed something with the PDX Mod platform?

Or should I start looking for my pitchfork again :D

the hotfix didn't touch anything that directly impacts the region packs, so should be fine :)

While I like the "France" pack... it should have been called "Paris" pack. :)
(FWIW -- I live in France)
Nowhere around me will you find buildings like the ones in the pack. And I'm kinda disappointed that there are no shops, and, most of all, no low density buildings.
(I live in a French farmhouse, but the same would apply to the nearby city, and the village. I'd have loved to see detached low density buildings. And commercial!)

Thanks @BadPeanut, an informative post that reminds us all of the hard work going on in the background.

Would love an Australian pack, single storey Queenslander (house on stilts) homes, Outback farm houses, mining towns etc. would look great in an outback themed map.

Keep up the awesome work!
