a change that makes the Fallen Empire repeatables not fill up your entire research options
Can we get a simple checkbox for "do not research dangerous technologies" to go along with the automatic research though?
Sometimes you just happen to be a crisis that doesn't want to research the synaptic lathe while also not wanting to choose three new research options every single month by hand.
That'd be a great quality of life feature to go along with the change to FE repeatables.
Wilderness Empires will no longer destroy themselves when spending biomass
I've been playing the 4.0.17 open beta (
stellaris_test
) with a friend yesterday (about 16h ago at time of writing) as a Wilderness empire.
Even without spending biomass at that moment (at least not that I remember) the game suddenly informed me that my empire has in fact fallen for no discernible reason.
What's worse, we then found out that every single autosave was corrupt, even those from a day prior (when we started that game on
stellaris_test
, which should've been the same version if I'm not mistaken.
The manual saves were fine, but every autosave before
and after was trash, meaning we lost about around 4 hours, maybe more, of gameplay.
Edit: Corrupt here meaning that loading it will result in a crash to desktop.
On the other hand, the OOS issues were down to two desyncs near the start of the game, with no further desyncs for about 200 years or so (which is when I randomly evaporated into thin air), which is great news, making the game actually playable in MP again.
