Development Diaries?

When can we expect development Diaries? It's been great to see EU4, CK2 and HOI4 move towards weekly Development Diaries.

I admit, I'm just desperate to find out more from the people making this exciting game.

Although the pre-announcement leak on steam indicated a possible Feb 2016 release, from the absence of DDs it's possible it may be slightly further behind in development than HOIIV, so DDs might be a short time yet. That said I'm speculating entirely here. I could (and hope I am) completely wrong.

I got the impression the game was feature complete and locked, and they were just getting everything working now then moving onto a period of polish.

Stellaris was in production around the time HoI4 was announced. If not for fiasco with Runemaster, it may have been announced earlier but after Runemaster PDS promised to only announce a new game when it is close enough to being finished. With this change of policy in mind, Feb '16 release date is not unlikely.

It was already in development since december 2013. That's the first time we heard about Project Augustus. It's likely that it could have been in development since late 2012.

Like others have said I think Feb is premature. We will have to wait a while longer for DD I think

February or not, we know the game is in alpha, which usually means pretty regular dev diaries. I'm ready for them

I actually think we will be seeing Dev Diaries very soon, and I also believe that development of this game is actually farther along than HOI IV. My reasoning is solely based on the fact that Stellaris has a full steam page while HOI IV has nothing. I believe HOI IV just reached Alpha status in the last month or so unless I am mistaken.

Regardless, I will be buying and can't wait for both games. The only way this could get any better is if Paradox announced Rome 2 or Victoria 3

It would just be nice to have Doomdark write a little about his vision for the project, at the moment we've had the press release an what we could grab from the convention. an Introducing Stellaris post would be great.

The game will probably go BETA in a month if everything goes according to plan, but just remember Murphy's Law, if anyone eats at McDonalds they will get fat...no wait that's not it, oh yeah if anything can fly in space in must be aliens, wait no not that either...oh yeah, if anything can go wrong, it probably will go wrong I'm still hopelessly optimistic that everything will go according to plan.

Which plan is this exactly? At least make it clear when you speculate, because it could easily be misconstrued as there having been an announcement from PDS on the topic, and as far as I'm aware there hasn't been.

I really doubt it will be released in February. HOI4, which is already in beta, with 20 dev diaries, gameplay footage and more or less every game system announced and explained is going to be released only in Q2. Stellaris is only in early alpha

Late Alpha. And I think HoI4 isn't in beta currently.

It's been mentioned a few times that it is in late alpha, and an October beta is in line with a late Q1 release.
