Haven't seen any release notes though. Not insubstantial @430Mb.
Anyone know what's in it? Can't see anything on the forum.

Sadly that part seems to be completely missing. No word here, nothing on Steam (aside from the Deluxe Version having vanished - it is not even in the details mentioned that its content got probably added to the base game - so in fact it so far only an educated guess we are making here)...and I doubt there is elsewhere, e.g. IRs Twitter account is silent, too. Not that I'm particularly fond of that various social media channels, but since they seem to be inevitable these days I wonder why this wasn't worth a tweet - not communicating at all and leaving people in the Steam forums guess what's behind that download doesn't look like the best possible PR startegy here. Maybe another sign of the low priority IR has now/currently, if there isn't even someone left to post an information. From a PR perspective I do hope this is something they will advertise, also to pull players who own the game but don't play it into the game.
It got added to base game. I could build my muse temple in Alexandreia. And indeed I saw the Hellenistic World flavour pack download notification as I was playing Imperator at the time.Sadly that part seems to be completely missing. AgreedWell, the Deluxe Edition was not worth it anyway. Still, it would be nice if people who paid for DE got something else in exchange (idk, maybe free soundtrack).
Personally I don't care that much since I've got Imperator Deluxe from Humble Bundle, but some people paid for it 18$ extra (which is more than HoA and MG price combined)
Yeah I didn't get anything as well since I had the Deluxe edition. But nice to see Paradox at least remember Imperator is still alive.Interesting. As Deluxe Edition owner I didn't get an update...and since the Deluxe Edition has vanished from the shop, I assume that indeed it was discontinued as separate item. And hopefully simply got added to the base game. If so, I'm glad for the standard edition ownersIt's not much and was never really worth the extra price, but every bit of IR content available for all players is good.
Agreed, things like this should be announced at least a month beforeThis isn't the first DLC merged into a Paradox game (Jake and Co did the same for EU IV to use great DLC features in future expansions like factions) which the early adopters had paid for to use years in advance, before other non-payers even had a chance to.
It's roughly the same argument as someone buying a graphics card in 2008 for 500 Euro and complaining someone in 2011 gets it for 50 Euro. Yes, the value shrinks and you got the early adoption bonus of better performance. That's what you paid for. Someone else getting something cheaper/free years later you paid for is NOT cheating you, ever.
If you bought the deluxe thing 2-4 weeks ago, I'd agree. For those people not announcing it is close to a scam due to hiding it. All others no.
Generally agreeing with your argument that "extra pay for earlier access is ok", though it has to be said that in case of the Deluxe Edition that you did not get a lot for your money (just compare the extra price to those of the three gameplay DLC - you can get almost all of them for the price of the Deluxe Upgrade...). Also, it is worth to note that in case of pre-order Epirus boni they were merged with the Epirus DLC and everyone, who preordered the base game, got the complete reworked Epirus content later for free. You could argue that the same should have been done with Deluxe Edition owners and HoA...This isn't the first DLC merged into a Paradox game (Jake and Co did the same for EU IV to use great DLC features in future expansions like factions) which the early adopters had paid for to use years in advance, before other non-payers even had a chance to.
