Difference between Arma and AoD?

Finally bought Iron Cross now that it was on sale, and I'm making a new 1.2 Armageddon install to run it properly, but how is IC when used over AoD? Better? Worse? What's the differences?
EDIT: Also, what version of AoD are you supposed to install it over?

IC with Arm has fewer issues and runs faster but also has fewer features

AoD keeps his main features such as changed combat, better auto trade, other supply system, upgradable assembly lines, more brigades etc.

so ultimately you will have to install AoD and see how you like it, I'd go with AoD if I had a fast enough machine (mine is ancient)

keep in mind that darkest hour will be out in 3 to 4 months and it seems to be a must buy (also compatible with IC) ...

1.05 for AOD. They are still working on the 1.06 A2 patch so 1.05 is the way to go for AOD.

Arma is much more balanced and faster. Barbarossa in AOD is non existant

Hmm. Will stick with Arma then, I've always found it more stable than AoD, although AoD does have some nice features.

Wow, Acguy asked the exact question i wanted to ask I just got IC as well (thanks GG) and was wondering what to install it on. Though i am certain DH will prove to be the ultimate core game for it...

Wait, so installing IC over Arma 1.1 makes it faster than 1.2? Are there any other differences?

I would love to see some aod features in the arma version, like the upgradable assemblylines..
Unfortunately aod is much too slow on my quad core.
