Okay so i am confused upon the history of this mod and the events that occur before it's start. So basically I was looking at the time line, and I must ask the difference in this timeline and our own timeline?

LI it's not the typical point of divergence alt-history where one big different event changes everything. Rather it's various small events that occur differently to OTL and lead to the outcome you see in game. There are too many to easily resume, but there are a few of important ones:

- Hellenism and Alexander's the Great Legacy were more stubborn in it's grip, and now Hellenistic or syncretic Hellen realms are spread through Eurasia, from Macedonia to China.
- Rome was far more stable due to maintaining a lot of vassal realms through all it's history, instead of integrating them into provinces. It was arguably less successful than IRL, but still great enough.
- Christanity never thrived on the eastern empire; it was persecuted by anti-Christian currents and the cult of Sol Invictus became the state religion of the ERE.
- Christians were successful in the WRE, specially within the migratory tribes, tough not exclusively the Catholics. Arianism and other Christian sects still exist and thrive.
- Islam was much less successful, being stopped in Persia by the Sassanids and in northern Syria by the Romans/Palmyrenes. It did expand through northern Africa and souther Spain, though.

There are what one could consider the main points, but there are many little tidbits of information that are equally important to the LI timeline and are to be found in the timeline if you're interested.

And yet, it's a little hard to understand how a big state exists in Eastern Rome (Epirus, albeit a "rebel" state) that have orthodox religion. The Doukai and Epirus are a exception?

Even if i love this mod, i think that is hard to understand how the Seleucids, or the Ptolomais survived more than a thousand years of history, warfare, and court intrigue. I wished that Shaytana had done a wiki based in his mod.

I wish I could understand myself
I think the best way to explain it is that the timeline lists the DEVIATIONS from actual history, and those that aren't listed may have followed OTL (as much as the Shaytanic Timeline Permits).

There are a couple things. The first is that even though the top tried to eliminate Christianity, that doesn't mean that the peasants or even the mid level aristocrats weren't sympathetic. The anti-Christian policies were from the Imperial Court. Second, the timeline does a good job of explaining most things, but admittedly it takes a couple times through to fully comprehend just by sheer volume. This mod has a certain cult like atmosphere, that takes some getting used to. Plus, it impossible for one family to survive a thousand years. Look at the Solomonids of Ethiopia.

That's a good explanation for orthodoxy, i tried thinking on this but i tought that Kontantinopolis had already purged the Roman Elite of christian elements.

I do not have a good knowledge of Ethiopian history, however, is quite ... hard. But it's not a couple dynasties (like the Solomonids, and maybe Bagrationi in Georgia), but one or two dozen. Maybe a lot of occurences of cadet branches taking power, just like it seems to be the case in "A Song of Ice and Fire"?

Yes, the timeline does a rather good work, but since i discovered this mod, back on fall 2012, i was stricken by its sheer amazingness and possibilities, i'm a little hungry for more knowledge on this, xD.

The story behind the Orthodox church also lies in the Solar-Imperial court of the Eastern Roman Emperor. In an effort to combat the growing Christian religion, the ERE created a new Christian church loyal to the state. Eventually, this church became not loyal (ie, at start-up) but for a while it served mostly to control the populace. The Neoplatonic faith has a similar legacy of support from the emperor, though I feel for them it's more out of protection from persecution rather than to persecute directly.

Impossible, no. Improbable, yes. Luxible, definitely.
