Diplomacy for AI countries

Can anyone tell me if other countries do anything more on the diplomatic front apart from organise aliance, Royal Marriages and DOWs.

I have this suspicion that they don't since they never send me any gifts. And yet are quite happy to go for a major trade war with me and leave me to carry to costs of keeping them sweet while they can spend it on sending merchants.

They send gifts to each other. Just not to u as u can't be trusted

Well that is just selfish of them. They are all a lot richer than I am and yet I have to do all the paying to keep them on my side.

And don't let me start on sharing maps

In any case, it's no skin off my nose because I didn't lose most of my provinces whereas they could have saved their own by giving me the means to protect them

If u give a AI country money it HAS to like u whereas when a human player gets money from the AI, he can happily use that money to prepare armies to wage war on the one who gave the money.

Well there's another question. When you send a letter, I always assumed that the 25D was the cost of the letter. Similarly with the gifts. Are you saying that when I send a gift, the AI gets 100D?

This makes it even worse. In any case, even if they do get the money you're not sending money to countries that will fight against you but those that will fight with you or those you hope will not fight against you.

Obviously they get the money, that's why they're called gifts
