Hartmann,
buddy 'ol pal o'mine!

how do you modify the Diplo Matrix.csv?
I decided that since we are waiting for 1.08 and IGC 1.6(?)
i would try to modify IGC to include Burgundy (no lack of heirs, no bequest). I added the country to 1492l.inc; no problem. I added leaders and monarchs; no problem.
i added an extra line to DiplomaticMatrix.csv below 'KUR' and added BUR along the top after KUR, and then i added 89 numbers in the pattern of 0;0;0;0;0; blah blah blah, to the 'BUR' line at the bottom of the file.

I added exactly the same number at the end of each other countries line but before the final '0' which i assume is for the 'END' tag. this made the file basically a mirror image.
So i run this and... it never fully loads... just says it is initializing sound for ever.

Do i have to change one of the two bottom lines? where it is ' ;x;x;x;x;x;x;x;x;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; etc.
Should i add an additional semi colon?

Any help from anyone who knows how to modify this file would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, 'MLO' and 'WAL' have the same 985 army ID. in the IGC.
is this ok?

Also, the rules are a trifle vague...

What is the so-called early game 'Moslem Cavalry advantage'?

What is the difference between a privateer and an explorer in game terms?

Thanks again and great work on the IGC.

Michael, God-Emperor of the great and soverign state of the Scilly isles! Fear our rightous wrath! tremble all ye mortals! we have an army that is only outnumbered by our sheep! We have sustained the single longest war against Britain that any country in the world has done and we didn't lose! Ha Ha Ha!!!!

Hi Lycortas! :)

It´s best to use excel for editing the diplomaticmatrix.csv. Just insert a new column and line at the next-to-last positions (i.e. just before the last column/line for the dummy country). Fill the cells with zeros first, then save ('semicolon only style'). If the save adds quotation marks, then load the file in wordpad and replace every ' with a blank. Try whether this matrix is working (it should). If yes, then load it again in Excel and fill in the appropriate values (relation to itself has always to be 0, of course). Ah, I forgot: You can also use Tanone´s excellent diplomaticmatric editor, which also boasts a consistency check. :)
