Yep, late - it was already posted in one of the sticky's - and i translated those words given in violet - which seem to be untranslated by Prompt (do not trust this translation utility - it leaves implausibly much to be desired):p

Yes, I have noticed the thread you refer to, but that's only a translation of the overview/main page. If you follow my link, you will also be able to read the other pages at snowball in english, ("The Project", "The World", "Game", "Knights", and so on..) which will contain more information closer to game release I guess. :)

I certainly agree with you when it comes to trusting the translator. You cannot trust it 100%, but it gives the readers some clue about what it says.

I notice that the site mentions timescales for the game, Russian version by end of year, and others to follow 'hardly later'. Also there is an application form for prospective 'betazoids' to fill in, though I guess this is just for the Russian version.

Yeah, it seems that the Russian beta has already been going on for quite some time now....

Hopefully this means we don't have to wait until 2004, though! :eek:

For CK as for other games I believe the applications comes before the test, wouldn't you agree? The logic chain taking you from "applications possible" to "beta has been going on for quite some time" would be interresting to see... ;)

Yeah, but I thought that application had been up for a while, and they just forgot to take it down. Thought I read that somewhere a while back (or maybe I'm just imagining things ;) ).
 
he, you meant this thing, well, if i'm not really mistaken this application has been there since august 2002, and i applied for that too... Still sergei didn't say they are already testing the game - he says it's close at hand

ahhh, I see. Somehow I got the impression from some of the threads here a while back that it had started for a select few Russians, to help with the development, while the larger beta would be handled through Paradox. Guess I got the wrong impression. ;)
