Direct2Drive Problem

My friend recently bought EU Rome Gold off of Direct2Drive, but this has caused nothing but problems. The only patch they have is version 2.2, and apparently it installs and works OK. When he tries to use the launcher to update the game, it says "Europa Universalis Rome Vae Victus is not installed." Also, when he tried to register the game here, he apparently had an invalid game ID thing.

Every distributor has to release their own version of the patches; the launcher update will try to apply the Paradox version of the patch which will not find the D2D version of the game, as D2D use different registry entries than PI do. He needs to contact D2D for this patch. f they don't have it yet all he can do is keep bothering them until they get around to releasing it, or ask for his money back and go buy the game on GamersGate where there are no such problems.

I've never used D2D but it's possible the key he is using is the wrong one; do they use a game key during the install? If so that's quite separate from the forum registration key we use here; D2D should supply that too. If they have not, ask them for it. Note that if you try to put the key for Gold in the wrong game, such as Rome or VV, you'll get this error too. Make sure they are entering it in the "Rome Gold" line, not "Rome" or Rome:VV".

I have gold and it registered from DTD as you see, go to your email account and enter the code they sent you in the paradox registration page. Good luck

The problem is the release of the last patch on D2D!!!I've Send a ticket(at d2d) when the patch was released and they tell me they are waiting for Paradox patch(2 months ago now!!!!).I think it's not too hard to have every patch in RAR format ,no???(last patch for AOD is in RAR and it work well with a steam version!!!)

That is simply untrue. Paradox sent the code to all distributors months ago. The others (Steam, Impulse) have managed to get it out by now, I believe.

What you could do is contact PI at support@paradoxplaza.com and paste in there the response you got from D2D, and ask them to talk to D2D to sort it out.

According to the information I'm seeing, there is no 2.3.2 patch in existence for this game. Please get back to me with the website or page you're seeing where it's saying there is a 2.3.2 patch.



As I already mentioned, the most recent update for EU Rome Gold is version 2.2.
