During EIC installation there was a DirectX installation. Why there is nothing infiormation about that. Normally some games asking first if Yu wanna update your DX current version to the new version! Why EIC doing that update without asking first permission from user??
I had DX9.0c nov. 2007 revision installed and now If I understood correctly EIC installer update DX 9.0c march 2009 revision. Is that correct?

DVD cover have only requirement for DX 9.0c, nothing info about how new version should be!! I wanna install my DX updates by myself and I dont like that some games do it without asking first!!!

Second I chosed custom install instead easy install an I found out that istall took only 1,6 GB hard disc. Game info says that I need 6 GB free space to istlaa EIC?!?! Whys that, guys.

East India Company installs and requires March 2009 version of DirectX and won't work with November 2007 version.

Microsoft's "Games for Windows" guidelines recommends DirectX install to be silent:

"Proper use of the DirectX runtime redistribution package (DirectX Setup) involves always launching it during installation, preferably in silent mode. This allows the code that is provided by Microsoft to perform any required version updates. It also allows installation of any optional side-by-side DirectX SDK components, such as D3DX, XACT, MDX, or XInput."

In "easy install" mode DirectX installation must be silent:

"Install any required operating system components (such as the DirectX and Visual C runtimes) using the correct Microsoft redistribution packages. The installation should be performed silently, without prompting and without being guarded by component version checks."
