There's a mod by ChoGGi_2 that just does that, if your having trouble between your controller and mouse.

Hi, thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately the mod sometimes still showing the mouse cursor although it's click is not working, and also power line and pipe still pointed under the mouse cursor (as if it's not hidden) when you change/rotate it's orientation
Do you know exactly when it reappears? What you do to cause it to appear that is? Though hopefully the devs add an option for it...

Usually the cursor will appear after a story prompt (like when there's a colonist gaining trait), but it happened randomly, sometime it appears as normal cursor, sometime it appears as loading circle

I'll throw in a lazy workaround to check every in-game hour for the mouse, so at least you won't have to alt-tab all the time.
The devs really should add an option though for gamepad players.

If so, would you mind to add an option to lock the mouse position? This is an example why I request this option 
Hi @ChoGGi_2, just a little feedback, after you update the mods, the mouse cursor always not shown whether its enabled via options or not (just installed and enabled via mod manager)
