Certain provinces in the US has too long range between them, I am supposing that you are using the first type of gas attack, which has crappy range. The whole range system is an ussue in HOI, which measures the distance between the center of one province and another, and with jumbo-sized US provinces, you know what will happen. ;)

So the game doesn´t care if it shall 'just fly over the river', for it, you are ordering it to attack the center of the other province, which happens too be miserbaly out of range.

SOLUTION: Beat up your computer, send threatening letters to paradox and phone Johan at night, whispering threats into the phone...

Er.. which file do I edit so that I can *cough* realistically be able to "use" my poison gas?!

But really, do you think that it is realistic for an artillery piece to fire a gas filled shell 750 miles, or for a canister to be opened up and for the gas to drift that distance? :)
 
Hello,

another thing: shouldn't there be a few more field marshalls (especially for Germany) because the AI doesn't promote generals and it gets quite some penalties for overstacking and no HQ...

There was a rank in the German army: Generaloberst (and even Generaloberst mit dem Rang als General-Feldmarschall), they should be Field Marshalls.

I quess I had better start leaning German. . .

I am not sure what to do next. . . I am playing as Italy. It is 1919. I am at war with Germany & Austria-Hungry. Turkey is out of the war, as well as Russia, and the most wonderful thing is that France has been defeated and Germany has installed a puppet regime! ! ! :mad: :mad: :mad: The US is in the war, but have yet to see any Yanks deployed. So basicly the only 2 majors left are Italy and GB. (and I realy would not consider Italy a strong major, but it is doing well)

Serbia and myself hold all of the Balkin territories, except Bulgiria. I have tried to take Innsbruk, and the western terrirory next to it. All my attacks end in defeat, even when attacking with mtn. troops. I just can not seem to make any inroads into Austria proper.

So should I continue offensive operations and be a pest on the Austian front or go on a major defensive policy and plan for the German conquest of Italy? ? ?

When I checked the National Army chart. The kaiser had something in the area of 214 divisions. That was followed by 30mins of crying. Sadly there is no way that Italy can equal that manpower strengh.
 
i think u shopuld stay where u are fortfy the boaders and research technology and more troops untill either germany or a-hungary attack. the fight them off with all your might.

eg the new mouse pointer and that shiled that i fixed and the score table?
or will they be included in a later version?

Allenby if you feel that there should be one more beta release before v1.0 comes out then that's cool with me.
 
I don't know what's wrong with Allenby lately, things are becoming strangely democratic here... :D
 
Just a brief note that I may release a download of updated minister, leader, event, technology, unit and AI files very soon. It won't be '1.06b' or anything - just an addenum to the current edition. :)

September or October, possibly. There is extensive AI work that needs to be done, not to mention assigning countries with their starting techs, completing sprites, as well as a few game balancing issues to be done for various scenarios. :)
