Leaders will be random + historical.
Now using stats 4 random leaders with deadalus's generator. 3 generals and 2 admirals per session.

Rules

-Prov Edits Cost: -1 stab per prov traded for both nations, and you can't trade land unless you have stab to lose. Same with all other edit requests that can be handled in game, like canceling mil access, ending an alliance. The only exception will be transfering vassals.

-We always play with newest beta.

-If you force enemy cots open via war, cots must stay open for 20 years.

-If you are vassalised, be that via event or war, you are forced to stay so for 20 years.

-Maximum of two players per alliance, with the exception of Denmark and Portugal who may join any alliance.

We could use military tradition rules also, in which the max quality of your random leaders would be dependent on the amount of war points you build up. We could do this with or in place of normal random leaders. Just a thought.
Don't know the details (will have to look those up, assuming they're around somewhere, but it does sound interesting :) )

Scenario
Devil's AOE, PE's AOE, PE's 1520, or Bocaj's 1453, or possibly Cheech's German minor scenario. Whatever people want to play. We also need to decide whether to use devil's event set or not.
1492 or 1520, no real preference between the two. (I just don't like the <LT9 warfare)

Rules

-If the dutch(dependent solely on whether we have a player lined up) spawn they will get 1000d, 20 warships and 20000 troops, so they can fight for independance within 10 years.
this suggests that this could change in the blink of an eye when we suddenly find a player for the Dutch?
imho, it should be clear from gamestart whether or not Dutch independence is going to be enforced.
rest of the rules sound good.

---
country preferences (preliminary)
Ottoman Empire
England
Spain

Woo!

Im fine with the rules and all, the leader thingy just sounds a little too difficult :).
Also, 1520 just often tends to be worse than 1492 game-wise. I would vote for 1492.

As for countries....hmmm.
Spain
OE
Sweden

Yay new game. Dont you just love em :)

Let me see i think ill play england. Though having said this i think france would be a larf. Then again austria...

Put me down for these for now

1England
2france
3austria
4sweden

I will only play china in 1419 campaigns from now on :D :p

Nah I am done with EU2, I hope you guys will have fun with DBD3. :)

Hi i'm new and never played MP. I'd be honoured to join this online game, though I have some questions :

Why do ppl never play with the AGCEEP ?

Rules

-No map trading until 1625

-Persian, Han, cantonese and Japanese culture Unavailable till 1700.

I dont clearly see the reasons behind these two.

What's CRC ? why would ppl not be allowed to choose their religion ?

You'd basicly get points for fighting and winning wars. These points would be tallied, and would raise the max stats you can get for random leaders. For example, if the generator gave you a 445 leader, and you had 11 points built up. 4 + 4 + 5 is 13, so two points would be subtracted from your leader to bring it down to 11 points. You'd then have a 335 leader, as points would be taken from left to right, maneuver, then fire, shock, seige, and back to maneuver again until it's even with the amount of points you have. I would do all these edits myself.

You get points in two ways- fighting wars and winning wars. 1 point for the first war you fight after a leader generation, then .5 points for every subsequent war you fight until the next leader generation. Wars fought against an alliance only count as one war. However, if another nation declares war on you while you're at war with another country(s), that will count as another war. If you win a war, you get another .5. Fake wars don't count obviously. It might seem easy to cheat, but we're fairly honest people for the most part. In WAR, we're at 1652 from 1453, and are still using the system. There have also been more wars in that game than any other I've played in. So, it is a system that works, effective and simple enough to use.

Well, what's the point of enforcing it if we don't have a player? I suppose it goes without saying that we won't force the release of a playerless country. I'll re-word that part to say more specifically the Dutch will be released unless we lack player for it. We can't know this yet, so the Spain player will just have to live in suspense :p . Chances are likely that we'll find one in advance though, if we're going to have one.

There was a game with AGCEEP a while ago. It didn't get off the ground because of a technical problem I think.

I dont clearly see the reasons behind these two.

To limit exploration early, and to prevent someone from gobbling up all the cots in one bite.

What's CRC ? why would ppl not be allowed to choose their religion ?

If you're Counter Reformed Catholic and are at war when the Edict of Tolerance event hits, you can stay CRC, whereas you'd normally be converted automatically back to Catholic. For some countries this can be a major advantage, as CRC gives .5 morale. However, it's rather gamey and unfair, so I make it clear now that it won't be allowed.

I would be ok with starting any time earlier than this and making games play a little longer if others are interested.

Would you like to start earlier, like 1-3 hours? Would anyone have a problem with this?

I can start at 1800 CET, but that is really stretching it. I would prefer 18:30 or just sticking with 1900. On the other hand, i can go to at least 00:00 CET, maybe a little longer.

Ok, lets stick with 1900 then.

Umbre, do you have ICQ?

Perhaps france is a bad idea for your first game dude. Port or russia would be much better.

I dont think we should bother with a venice. IMO italy is best being fought over.

This sounds like a game I want to join. Since a lot of the countries I want to play are already taken I will choose Russia (the down side to this means that I get to fight Fredrik's Sweden agani).

The 1900 CET start time is fine for me at the moment (snice I'm unemployed), but I would normally prefer a 1930 CET start.
