DISPATCH NOW button?

There have been several times I've noticed a route backed up and wished I could dispatch a bus, tram, or metro "manually", without having to mess with the schedule. For example, I have a bus schedule that seems to be pretty efficient except for once or twice a week where I get a sizable backup of passengers waiting at a few stops (relatively close to the station I might add). What do you all think of the idea to include a DISPATCH NOW button in a line's window? This would dispatch one vehicle immediately (if available) and have no effect on the line's schedule.

This would be a very useful feature if the vehicle dispatched is an extra service in addition to the timetabled service. Not just the next scheduled departure dispatched early, leaving a gap in the service.

+1. Here in Toronto, we refer to them as "service relief crews" or "gap buses"
