I have a great idea for a DLC that would involve the European Empires invading Japan to "civilize" them split into several logical Nations/Factions:

Great Britain - The UK will send the Eastern Trading Company to seize control of coastal provinces and attempt to export as much of their resources and exotic goods as possible through trading routes to Britannia. They would use Royal Marines,Asian Infantry and on occasion hire some native ronin for coin and modern gunpowder weapons.
The AI would stick to coastal territories to export as much goods as possible and occasionally make a campaign to inland provinces with valuable resources.

**Great Britian Correction - I was wrong on India by a century, I apologize but the British were active in the Pacific area around Austraila.

Spain - Spain would send militant missionaries to "save souls" and aggressive expand Catholicism usually start in an easily defendable province such as a small chain of islands or a sparsely populated region. Historically Christianity exploded in Japan that the shogunate restricted them to the docks which they would use the militant fanatics as foot soldiers, they would also use marines in coastal provinces, and use Ronin in the very beginning but eventually they would turn on them the more powerful they get.The A.I. would only strike when it perceives the clans are at their weakest and would gradually build strength.

The Portuguese would be a mix of the two, priorities would be random.

Side Note: I also had an idea that CHinese warlords would show up to generally settle and expand.

Please comment and ideas on this DLC concept, also if you like please say so and spread the word.

For invasion dlc Mongols would be a cooler choice... or Aztecs. :p :p

This brilliant addition to Sengoku would most likely require an official expansion, not just a DLC. But either form would be most appreciated!

A ahistorical expansion...? Please not! Better a patch with optional DLC.

If you think about it is not that crazy, the Europeans were active in the area colonizing Oceania and Japan was in civil war making the country a vulnerable target with rich resources and possible converts.

How I have say... A optional DLC would be okay... But not as a expansion. I think this is a gut compromis for every one.

Maybe something a little more interesting like have the Sioux invade! Seriously though, the idea is interesting but I don't know if I would use it. However, others might so it could be a good plan.

After spending a fair amount of money on this game, I'd like to see it supported.

Western invaders sounds interesting.

Aren't there mods for this? I don't own Sengoku. I may buy it once it goes on sale for atleast 75% off. But I really don't want to have to buy any DLC to get new content.

I'd like to see a DLC that involves the time period where Western trade (and hostile enforcement of these) started happening. Kind of like fall of the samurai for Shogun 2.

Not actual invasion mind you (since Europe never started annexed Japan to my knowledge), but lots of events and decisions. Possibly internal wars sparked by outside influence for the trade goods and technology.
