What's up with the prices for EU4's DLC? They used to go up to 50% off. Now a lot of the old ones are only 35% off, and the last few aren't going past 20%. I assume they'll all drop once EU5 comes out, but I was hoping to grab some of them and get some playthroughs out BEFORE EU5 came out.
But maybe that's what they are anticipating and keeping the DLC high for that reason?

If there even is any strategy behind sale prices, it is probably just price discrimination.

Basically you drop the price by varying amounts. Some people will take the 35% discount, and PDX makes 65%. Other people will wait and only buy at a 50% discount.
If PDX were to always drop the price by 50% the company would lose out on some revenue, because some customers are willing to pay between 51% and 99%

I mean I get that, but it USED TO go down to 50% and then stay there. I mean, if we're being honest, i remember they days when the floor for DLCs was 75% off, but then one day that stopped and it became 50%.
Now it seems like the model has changed again.

I still remember a phase where the limit was 66% off. I think it coincided with the establishment of regional key locks.

The trend they seem to follow is to keep prices high and reduce the discount over time. Look at Crusader Kings II.

How about the fact that Common sense costs 60e? I don't quite recall, but I think they made a lot of those features free. Where's the common sense in pricing?

As mentioned above "When you buy EU4 you get Common Sense, Rights of Man and Art of War" so I imagine that the price of the DLC in the image is the price of "new base game"
It should be a glitch because I don't see those DLC in the "DLC list to purchase" when I connect on Steam

I have been waiting for GOG EU4 Ultimate Bundle sale for nearly a year. Still sold at a full 200 Euro price, no discount. At one point the game was below 50 Euro on Steam.

Full price for discontinued game that may or may not have any further support?

No, thank you.
