Here is my clan leader's DNA:
dna="ojeogmpcpmp"
properties="gokkfh"
Here is his wife's DNA:
dna="njodiaobgkp"
properties="bfgjdn"
And here's the DNA for their children, with the percentage they share with each parent:
dna="fimliaojdeh" ( 0% Father, 27% Mother)
properties="lim0pm"
dna="edgbpfincnc" (0% Father, 0% Mother )
properties="nhfoha"
dna="dpapbfmlmkb" (0% Father, 9% Mother)
properties="fbpfap"
dna="mnidfoolknc" (0% Father, 18% Mother)
properties="pdpgcl"
dna="emnbmjdbini" (0% Father, 9% Mother)
properties="ifm0pe"
dna="iofnhllpfjk" (0% Father, 0% Mother)
properties="hjfl0b"
Notice how none of the children share any DNA with their father, and in the best case one only has 27% maternal DNA? Looking at other leaders, I find that a few occasionally share DNA with their fathers, which leads me to believe that this case is extraordinary and that DNA is inherited randomly.
Is this WAD? I know that there should be some mutations to keep everyone from being clones, but this seems a bit over the top, considering that properties differentiate courtiers just fine in many cases...
