So there's a thing that I always wondered; in multiplayer if you hover over the time you can see every player, and sometimes this name gets red or yellow.

My friends always say that being constantly in "red" or yellow will cause more desyncs or problems but so far I only noticed lower average speed on the game

Is there anyone that -actually- know what this indicator means? Thanks.

The indicator changes color if the player's instance of the game is behind the hosting player by more than X days.
Off the top of my head, 1 day behind the server is white, 2 days turns yellow, 3 days turns red and the host's time won't advance until the lagging player catches up.

So it does not cause more desyncs for a player being behind?

it's not directly caused by red names, but both desyncs and red names have common root cause - bad connection between you the players and/or local performance issues.
