Depends on what version you are coming from

As a rule of thumb though if the middle number is unchanged from your version compared to the version you are looking at you are fine. For example, if you are using 4.04.3 and go to 4.04.5 you are save compatible unless special circumstances are stipulated in the release post. However, if you are running 4.03.1 then you cannot use 4.04 period.

Thank you for the response. I currently have 4.04 so it sounds like I should be able to upgrade while playing my current save. Should I just overwrite it? Generally speaking when I have upgraded CK2+ its been with large time gaps so I have always just done a clean install.

You always want to do a clean install when going to a newer version of the mod.

How do I do a clean install and still continue on from a save under a previous version?

Saved are saved in a totally different location, so deleting the CK2+ folders in documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings II/mods and then unzipping the new one there is enough.

Since you mentioned you are coming from 4.04, keep in mind you have to run the (included in the rar) India submod as well to keep compatiblity.

Awesome thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. Also is CK2+ compatible with VIET or not?
