For me I think that when I play frozen climate planets the RNG is better. It's probably confirmation bias, but I think the cold planets give me luck.

You do get slightly different yields from different climates.
Dry climates favour energy, wet favour food, cold favour minerals.

So it might not be confirmation bias, just cold worlds fitting better with your early game style.

I know, but I'm not talking about planet features, I'm talking about nearby megastructures and things like that.
