I would like to and i am a programmer but i already have a job. Working on a long project so they still need me for quite a while. But maybe in the future :)

We are slowly corrupting them though as I have even spotted some of them posting on the forum.

Hmm, tempted to apply for the Historical Researcher post.

Aye.

Not yet. Johan will probably start to go through applications next week or in the next few weeks.
". . . or in the next few weeks."
Sounds like you're desperate for the help!
This appears to be connected with that "next project" that has been darkly whispered up all over the place.

The fact that Paradox is looking for more personel, is a good sign. It means that things go well. :)

The only job for which I could apply would also be 'historical research'. I have some 'basic' programming skills (meaning I once made a text-based adventure game in Basic on my Commodore 64 :)).

But I don't feel like moving to Sweden, I am happy here in the Netherlands.

Well, I've got basic programming skills and I'm studying history at university: I guess I could apply for the researcher job position.

Problem is that I'm still at university and I intend to finish it :(

Maybe next time.

How about the possibility to work complimentary for Paradox, e.g testing Betas ( more than the current Beta Tests ) or do some research to assist the devs?

I did something similar, only my game was on a Digital mainframe! They didn't have PC's back when I was acquiring my vast programming experience.

I am a historian in the fields (three degrees) of medieval, early modern and modern history, but more the cultural side than the militaristic, development of state and society more than armies. (Except where they intertwine of course). Extensive experince in the use of databases for socio-economic research and library searches.

I used to be involved in the analysis of myths, fairy tales and such and the application thereof in and on modern society.

Now I am a civil servant.:p

I have the programming skills of the offspring a concussed duck and a demented monkey. And my Swedish is very rusty.

Nevertheless, tempting...

Aye.

Mmm, alas that I still have a year to go on my BA, and that my SO has SAD.

QA/Game Tester

Your role will be to manage internal and external testing to ensure the right testing is done at the right time, in order to ensure that Paradox Games reach increasingly high quality standards. You are also responsible for the bug database, verifying reported bugs and assigning them to the correct person.

■Good communication skill is essential, and previous testing experience is preferred.
■Core computer skills are vital.
