This mod looks very interesting. Yet there is one issue pulling me back: I don't understand what is "different" from the real history. I guess that this will be a common problem for anybody confronting Aberration for the first time.

I suggest you guys to prepare a small document that you deliver together with the mod, that explains the "difference". Also a small guide for each playable nation would be very useful.

I think this will help to boos the popularity of Aberration.

Just my 2 cents :)

Alternate country descriptions (the texts you see when you select country at start) are just for this purpose. They aren't fully done yet, but the thing you want to see is being adressed already.

There is one in the readme, atm.

But a bigger one could be good.

Yes... there are alternate country descriptions for many of the main playable countries (quite a few of them originally written by me) that explain how they got to their current place in the world at game-start. Generally, events vary from roughly the time of the Crusades, in ways that prevented the "normal" powers from forming and instead created the playable nations as smaller regional powers.

We have 2-3 missing now.

I edited all the minor powers to erase traces of the normal GC.

Thing is we definetly need a bigger documentation still, yup.

Which countries still need one? (I'm not certain I'll be able to provide them, depending, but...)

Also some pointers as to which provinces they own would help.

Anything else other than the country descriptions? I'm thinking we might be able to sneak something in the form of an event description if we want....
