Does a purchased EU still need patches?

Sorry if this has been answered many times before.
I am about to purchase EU from amazon, (DVD packaging).
Will i still need to download the last patch avliable, or will all the updates be already included on the DVD?

when you start the game, it should tell you what version it is (ex: v1.02 or v1.00). Normally, the US version should be 1.00, the Polish version should be 1.01 and the Nordic version should be 1.02.

If you have the US version, you should update it, Polish one doesn't have a patch and the Nordic one doesn't need to be patched.

Since you're buying it from Amazon, it should be US 1.00 and will need to be patched. If you want an absolute confirmation about the DVD, you'll need to e-mail strategy first. The link to their page is in the "Support options" thread.

i may have not made myself clear, i was intending to purchase EU1, not 2. i say this cause the patch numbers you seem to be mentioning sound like they are for EU2. Have i misunderstood you?

EU1 is sold in version 1.07.You need to update to 1.10. Be sure tu use the right patch Read the stickys.

Yes, you are right I was refering to EU 2. EU 1 will come with 1.07 and you need to patch it to 1.10.
