Does anyone know how to update a mod on the workshop after you deleted your local version of it?

Like the tiltle says, I tried to update my old mod from 2.3, but since I don't have the orignal path of the file anymore. I tried to subscribe to mod, download the files, then created a new mod with same name and upload it, but it seems different workshop items, so what can I do now? Thanks
