I really enjoy creating my own maps for those games that I own that have a map editor, however I've not enjoyed the map editor that comes with the steam version of Majesty 2 enough that I've not spent more than a couple hours in it.

I read a brief post that said that Kingmaker will come with a better editor, a more user friendly editor and a more powerful editor.

Now that steam has Kingmaker on sale I've thought about getting it purely to get my hands on the editor if it's truly improved.

Has the editor been improved that comes with Kingmaker?

Yeah thanks. I read through the 3 lessons on that incompleted guide and found them only slightly helpful, doesn't really go into any great detail that I read. Perhaps the owner will eventually update it to include more detailed information, preferably before the game is totally and completely dead of a community.

Ok, since I've not yet finished the campaign of the original seems no point in getting the kingmaker if the editor is not been enhanced, since the info I found on some youtube videos and comments seem to indicate that the 8 additional campaigns are of the "hard" and "expert" difficulty levels which isn't something I need right now, I don't particularly care to have everything and the kitchen sink thrown at me at the same time so I'm good I guess with just Maj 2 if no editor enhancements were done in Kingmaker.

Thanks for the reply, I'm back to reading the forums for tips on editor use, perhaps I'll come across something that makes it all click in my brain like some other editors have done before in other games.

I know they've kept hinting it was a better one or that it was only included in kingmaker, but that was subtle crafting of word purely for marketing. The kingmaker's editor is the same as the Maj2 one. I think there was a mention of being allowed to put goblins in the map, but it might also have been whether or not they worked properly.

Thanks, I Just watched a video on youtube with somebody from Paradox and he had a brief line that said something to the effect of "Kingmaker comes with an editor to create your own mission, that you can also download for free with such and such patch", so that pretty much completes the conversation for me.

Thanks for the reply,
