Doomsdaextetion intro wont run

I have not played for a while but figured it was time to go at it again.
BUT when I insert the disc and press PLAY my screen goes black!!!
I can by pressing CTRL, ALT DEL force the game to proceed. But when the intro is over the computer shuts down.
Any body who can help me with? I did not have any problemas when I played the game some months ago.

You don't need the disc for playing HOI3, just click on the icon on your desktop.

Rename avi folder to avi.old.
