First of all I think my own New Revolters Mod offers a much better nation choice than New Nations, more relevant to both WW2 and post-WW2 (Cold War) needs. I recommend a switch to New Revolters for your extra nations. However, if you insist here are tag reference changes I recommend for SMEP to go with New Nations:
1) Get the LATEST New Nations release. It has many corrections. But I recommend against using the new map as it is unproven.
2) BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE
Change tag references of U13 to U52. This is because you will have to change something else to U13, so do this first or you'll mess everything up. (This is Baltic Union. I'm sorry I made a mistake, that country is in New Nations.
3) U00--unchanged (Catalonia)
U01-->U13 Macedonia--that's why I said change U13 first
U02-->UES Dietsland. In New Nations this is Benelux. Construct your own files from amalgamating Flanders and the Netherlands and overwrite their tech team, leader and minister files. Overwrite their entry in revolt.txt.
U03--there are no events referencing this. It is Dutch East Indies. You can scrap this country with no effect on SMEP. (Use the New Nations country)
U04-->U73 England (Armageddon country)
U05-->U76 Wales (Armageddon country)
U06-->U56 Bengali/Bangladesh--recommend using the SMEP provinces entry so it works as SMEP designed.
U07-->U40 Caucasia. Use SMEP territorial definitions
U08-->U78 United States of Central America (Armageddon country)
U09-->U44 Moldova
U10-->U65 In SMEP this is Eritrea. The nation does not exist in New Nations. The nation overwritten is Springfield, the Simpsons nation. You can steal a ready made set of minister files for Eritrea from my own New Revolters Mod which is U59 in my mod.
U11-->U25 Idel-Ural There are no events at all for this but it is considered an optional nation for CCIP, so in order for it to function as the makers of CCIP intended you'll have to overwrite the New Nations entry, which is Tatarstan. Tatarstan is a similar country but the opinion of the New Nations people differs from CCIP as to what this nation should be. In order for CCIP intent to be realized, overwrite the U25 entry with CCIP data.
U12-->U32 Turkestan is especially important to SMEP (Russian Civil War), and its non-inclusion in New Nations is a major issue. The nation overwritten is Celtic Union. Although I think there are sillier nations in the New Nations pack, the reason I think overwriting U32 is better is that having Celtic Union in the game will require you to rewrite a lot of SMEP events, which is a headache you are better off without.
U14 no change Bohemia in both mods
U15-->U87 The Chinese State in SMEP is intended to be puppet China, which is U87 in Armageddon.
Now you also have to clean up a few things from New Nations. Many of their leader files are under descriptive names so you'll have to track them down and remove them in a few cases.
Also don't forget to add an entry for the latest New Nations file regarding minister deaths. If you get an error on loading the game, I think there are a few typos in that file.

There is a different overwrite procedure if you decide to use my own mod instead of New Nations for your extra countries and it's actually easier.

Nomonhan > Ok, you got me :) I shall also try your mod. Let's discuss the overwriting in the respective thread (in your signature).

Thank you for posting changes in NNM. I will make some less painful edits. But is it really wise to download latest version of NNM alone? This is Combo mod and RODRICO STAR surely made great effort to harmonize many other things. Also, I haven't noticed SMEP for Armageddon 1.2 on the forum to combine with latest NNM or your mod.

As for my own mod the link is in my sig and I've explained how to convert SMEP to my mod therein. As for myself, I'd be very interested in trying out this "Combo Mod" as long as I can be sure that I've completely gotten rid of all New Nations content.

This was horribly flawed when I played the New Nations scenario, multiple events for the same thing and cores missing all over the place.

You can't really expect a great game there anway.

My only complaint is that the Scandinavian events are in SMEP too, and they conflict.

Is the "The road to war" better in this respect?

Yes. But in all my games Italy joins the war almost at the same time Germany Dow's Poland. Leading to a Italy full of French troops and a odd looking Libya and Ethiopia.

Ok, then I played all those hours as PRC for nothing. Damn japanese surrender events screwed me over.

Quick question. Anyone of you has a valid link to download the Arma combo? because the one in Rodrico signature doesn't work.

Help will be greatly apreciated, thanks

Well, I have just returned from an unfortunate long time away from the forums. Glad to be back. Anyway, all your concerns will be noted, and I plan on releasing a new version later this week, as I have some time off school.

Cheers!

Rodrico, please check Transfer of industry events (Nationalist China). I do not know where the root of the error is, but it seems that these events add some IC while not taking it (for example from Nanjing to Chungde). In my German game, Japan fights 97-IC China (in 1939).

Well, I'm sorry to say that I was wrong about a new release being this week. It's quite a time-consuming task to combine so many mods, and as it turns out I just didn't have the time to do it. I still intend to make an update, but I'll be less specific about when, and just say "soon".

Thanks for updating the Arma download link mate, really apreciated(?). Take your time with the update of the mods, real life can be quite absorbent doesn't it :D

I'm getting an odd bug playing this mod+GIP+SKIF. The "Leninist Revolt" event (which the event text indicates ought to fire after the Great Purge if the player/AI chose to be ahistorical and not purge) actually fires before the purges--several years before! This is extremely odd, to say the least, and really hurts the Soviets.

EDIT: On Arma 1.2.

^^^^I had the same bug, although I think you meant Trotskyist Revolt. It has a random chance of happening between summer 1937 and february 1938 (Great Purge is in february). It has the text "Aaargh I should have chosen the historic option". What choice does this refer to?
