Download the Patch, Play the Game?

A good friend of mine who happens to be a WW-II fanatic just got HoI. Can I download the patch and play the game that way, in the same manner as I found could happen with EU-II, version 1.06?

What a strange forum...I've never been here before...it's so...grey.

As for your other question, unless you own a copy you cannot have one installed on your system. Anything else is theft.

Okay, quick question: can I play the game without the CD, but still use the CD to install the program on my computer?

Although I disagree with Castellon's sentiment regarding warez and so-called intellectual property in general, I must say that asking about warez on on the official game board is just asking for trouble, as the Duke has learned to his misfortune in OT.

in his first question i dont understand but his second one, he just asks if he can play the game without the city and use the patch or whatever. which took me a while to fiqure out too.

look it, i know hes banned and everything so its not like it matters but pirating is a seroius thing (in terms of gaming not in RL) so...
