Downloading IGC

I'm new to the game and the forum and I apologize if this question has already been answered. I've tried three times now on seperate occasions to download the IGC but nothing happens. I point and click and it looks like things are working but nothing happens. There is no prompt asking me to "open from current location" or "save to disk". I've waited as long as 15 minutes. Obviously, I'm no computer expert and those of you who are are probably rolling your eyes right now, but I need help. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Perhaps you can tell us from which location you tried to donwload IGC and which version of IGC. It will be simpler to make a diagnosis that way.

I tried to download IGC 1.9c. Should I have started with 1.8 collection? Is it because 1.9c is in German language? Thanks for your help.

If you want IGC, then why not go with version 2.0k which is by far the latest. You can download it at Doomdark's site at http://www.ludd.luth.se/~doomdark/EU/

Maybe I'm just retarded or something, but I tried downloading the IGC 2.0 from Doomdarks site and it did the same thing I mentioned above. Am I missing something here? Yes, my computer is plugged in!

I'm admittedly a computer idiot but have you enabled your browser to download files? To do this in Explorer, go to <tools>, <internet options>, <security>, <custom level> there's an option that you check to enable you to download files. Have you been able to download other files?

Thanks Kootznoowoo for showing mercy to the less fortunate. I tried again last night and found that I was able to download patches so I know that function is enabled. However, I still could not download anything to do with the IGC. When I went into that file in windows explorer I noticed that the download feature was enabled but there was a feature referring to downloading xActions that was disabled. Could that have something to do with it? I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. I realize it probably more of a tech question. Is it possible that so many people may be trying to download that the site is crowded and I may need to wait more than 10 to 15 minutes to wait for a prompt? Obviously, I'm a computer idiot as well, so I'd appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.
