Hey guys,

playtesting and balancing within the campaign the presence of so many upgraded designs proved to be a balance issue from a game progression/economical point of view. I have decided to tone it down to a stock weapon only version, for both regular and Star League weapons.

Now the questin is, are you interested in a add on to that base version featuring all those +++ weapons in enemy mech designs, economics and progression be damned?
From a Skimish Mode perspective, economy and progression should be sacrificed.

From a Solo-Campaign Mode perspective, economy and progression considerations must be taken into account.

Let me ask you this...

Who is your intended audience for your Mod?

Go with that.

The solo campaign / sandbox mode will be the default I already commited to and will publish once Flashponts hits. It will not contain any mechs/vehicles with improved (+++) weapons but will inlcude designs equipped with stock star league wepaons. The work there is done basically, I will however have to remove my upgraded Star League weapons like the Kali Yama Grand Slam Gauss Rifle should the Flashpoint release contain such or similar desings of improved Star League weapons.

What I have been wondering, since I got all those files flying around anyways, is there a community interest in keeping those around as an addon for skirmishers or hadrcore late gamers who simply want even tougher fights.

I used your Mod, just last week to run such a “Dark Mirror” match.

In a Skirmish Mode match I used the base-versions of your Mechs, while I gave the AI the exact same Mechs, but with all the bells, whistles and “+’s” I possible could.

It was a BLAST! I only barely won. : )

I vote, yes.

started a fresh campaign with your mod.
i am loving but man....with difficulty settings at normal boy oh boy is it a ride.
i cant imagine how hard career mode will be like this.
when i was the only one with plus weapons and lostech i would take contracts equal to or a bit greater then what i was dropping with.
with your mod and the opfor with the same kinda weapons i have access to doing something like that is a recipe for disaster.
it really adds a whole new level of skill and challenge to the game without even increasing difficulty.
before your mod....when i saw a mek i wanted i would go after it in a way that ensured full salvage.
with your mod....i find myself more often then not just going for the quick kill salvage be damned.

and for me at least with the mods i am running and settings i use economy and progression really isnt an issue.
i just got the Artu mission....dont have any assaults and just 3 heavys (QKD, TDR, CTX)

I AM LOVING IT

i mean as it stand now the priority mission are a bit of a vacation....font have to worry about twin gauss jagers....:D

so yes please by all means let us masochists have our add-on.

also..anytime you wanna throw something at me that isnt ready for public consumption feel free.

Do we know if the Vanilla AI actually uses the +weapons in combat, that it gives up as salvage?

I’ve gained +++AC20‘s from Solo-Campaign salvage, but can not recall ever having been hit for 120-damage by an AI AC20.

I’ve gained 12-Damage SRM Launchers from Solo-Campaign salvage, but can not recall ever having been hit by 12-damage SRMs.

All vanilla mechs use stock weapons but sometimes drop better equipment.

@unclecid I've been tinkering on a "harder than hell" Edition featuring even more drastic changes to enemy lance composition as well as Amechwarriors better AI. Going to include the +++ versions there.

i have been hit by plus ac/20s AND fricking gauss rifles...they seem to love bringing out guass meks to stop me.
guass urbie, hbk, twin gauss jager, on1 and others.

now there have been time the opfor would rather come and beat on me then use those plus/lostech weapons (which seems to snafu for them).
i cant say they use them 100% of the time....but ya i have been hit by stuff.

Thank goodness for Dr. Banzai''s Mod!

ya this mod gives me headaches sometimes...the good kind.

ill take a low skull mission thinking it will be a milk run and good for training new meat....and then WHAMO!
and ill be like good thing i always insist on a high level officer in a stand-off mek to accompany the new meat.

in addition to the increased difficulty i think the thing i enjoy most is the not knowing what i am facing weapon wise until i get full sensors on the opfor.

Hi guys, just released version 2.0.0!

This release incorporates both the Unseen from SolahmaJoes HotD mod and LosTech versions of the new HBS Flashpoint mechs. There is a separate AddOn for Bloodydoves Annihilator mod under additional files on the Nexus page.
I also bundled the release with the Community Fixes.

Note:
The designs with upgraded (+++) equipment have been removed from the core mod. There will be a separate release for those soon.

sat on nexus waiting for your mod to finish uploading to their servers before i loaded up BT this morning.:D

Todays upload really was a removal of the cFixes. Today saw the standalone release of those, in an updated version. I thus separated the files from my download bundle and provided a separate link for those. I highly recommend runing that mod. ;)

PS: Just to be clear, this still is the current download for 1.3 Flashpoints without the hardcore AddOn. HBS take on the improved LosTech weapons will require a redesign of the HelmCoredawning +++ designs.
