Dragon questions

Apologies if these have been asked before. I tried to find the answer but it must be buried somewhere.

So, how do you get a dragon egg, if you have the ambition? I've tried colonising ruins, sailing round coasts for the 1% chance, and I have a huge amount of money. I'm a Targ and High Valyrion and still nothing. Not once has any event fired in reference to getting a dragon egg or finding one and I've been playing this game for a very long time. I know how to hatch one successfully if I do get one, but I've worked out that going to dragon intel areas doesn't work in finding a dragon egg.

Second question. Is there something up with Eastern Shadow Mountain dragons which means you can't tame them, because having seen that some were there I went to face them, but they were elusive?

So any ideas?

I believe there's a rare event that can fire if you have enough money where you can buy a dragon egg. It's like 800 gold though, I think.

I had over 3000 gold.

Its just an extremely rare event that has like 1% chance per year.
Dont even expect it to fire in 1 character's lifetime

If you really want dragons, besides Dany, the Ninepenny Kings scenario has an egg as well (with Egg, of course).

The event fires if your a High Valyrian and a scholar.
