I'm looking forwards to pushing the German aristocracy deep into eastern Europe... be it low-level German expansion or fully-fledged Scandinavian or German crusades. On the other hand, it would also be fun to see whether Poland or Bohemia could hold this process, perhaps leaving Pomerania or Meissen a Slavic land. I wonder how that would be reflected.

Should be a blast but when the Pope catches wind of it it might all go sour. MTW had that feature where if you take out to many Catholic nations then a crusade was launched against you (I think).

Anyway be intresting to see how war mongering will be handled, BB, or otherwise.

The pope should be OK with it, as with the exception of Poland we're talking pagans almost from Lubeck to Finland in 1066.

Well yes that early they will be all pagans, hopefully massive military campaigns like that wont be possible for single nations in 1066.

Besides you seem like a nice guy snuggs, wouldnt you prefer to convert them and support thier new faith with gifts of state? :p

Well thanks :)

Frankly, though, no :D Delenda Svantevik...

Although the carrot method might be worth trying at some point. I wonder how easy it will be to buy off your opponents.

I think that might come down to titles. Be nice if you could give a title and somehow by doing so add that noble to your dynastic line. Cash dosent buy a family like a nice title.

Yeah, I'm all for military conquest over the "carrot" theory!

I prefer it to, I just hope that conquest isnt the only method and has consequences, like unhappy nobles etc.

We'll see soon enough though

Of course! It wouldn't be any fun at all if my bloodthirsty, conquering ways had no reprocussions!

The feeling I get (could be wrong though) from reading about the game here is that you're going to have to use different strategies for different nations. It very likely will be better to use a more warlike strategy with some nations, and a more peaceful strategy with others. :)

Absolutely, it should make playing the game in MP pretty intresting as well.
