I have been told by the game that my drones can destroy them, not sure what to click to make it happen... I move my RC Rovers near one in drone command range... and nothing. I have all the revealed tech for Dredgers researched Dreger Morhology and Wavelength Decoding. What am I missing?

Does anyone know what happens when you leave them be and not destroy them? Is there an alternate ending? Just did it with destroying them but now I am wondering what happens if you leave them in peace.

No, the xeno scum must die!....wait sorry, my Stellaris is showing.

I'm actually curious about this too. The way the wording was at the end makes me think it could have ended differently.

Did you get anything good?

Get the same reward if you destroy the last one or not, Xeno-Extraction which gives +50% to all Extractor production and a random Breakthrough. The Breakthrough is completely random so if you don't like it, then save before the ending shows up to get a different one. Only real difference is the duration to the ending and the ending text.

A couple of paragraphs about the Dredgers leaving the solar system.

You failed to destroy the massive Dredger and the Colony will pay the price in the months to come, but maybe this is for the better. Maybe today humanity avoided retribution from the unknown creators of the Dredgers, or started on the path of cooperation, and maybe even friendship, when the next generations reach the stars.
