I played and won with each of the 4 races...

So on to Armagedden. Only victory condition is defeating Dremers. I am Elves, and have a good size empire - avoiding war with other mages, destroying Dremers in my territory, cleaning the land of corruption, etc.

Now, I have put together an moderately powered army (around turn 100) to specifically search the world for Dremer Anchors. I have seen about 70% of the world and not found one. So my questions are:

1) Are the archors hidden in some way?
2) If the Dremers systematically wipe out the other mages, are they stronger somehow (can they spend the resources to improve)? Or just larger?
3) Should I be still trying to capture the world from other mages - is it necessary?

1)Some anchors may be on other planes.
2)For each capital the Dremers capture, they gain a powerful special unit, which is supposed to be the shadow of a great mage. That's it.
3)No, unless you feel like it, or unless they're annoying you.
