I'm playing as Austria, and I'm well on the way to become a big superpower ;). I have annexed most of Hungary (two provinces left), parts of Bohemia, half of Helvetia, Istria from Venice and I have diplo-annexed Baden (which had also got bigger) and.... Bayern? I forgot the name of the state :(.

Anyhow, I get an event telling me that I have Inherited Burgundy (I think, I never manage to read alot of it). And at that point, the game drops to desktop. It displays the event for second or two and then it crashes. This is rather annoying! It seems to me that I'm forced to start another GC (already did, as Denmark ths time) :(.

Is there a way to get around this? I would really appreciate it, since I have poured quite a few hours in to that campaign ;)

Running 1.05 (Scandinavian Edition) on W2K.
 
send me your save game at viper37@sympatico.ca ; I haven't seen this problem so I want to verify it :)

OK. My latest saved game is awhile away from that event, but I'll try to work it so that it's closer to the event (and crash) :)

EDIT: Viper, you got mail

EDIT2: No you don't. It seems that your mailbox is full ;). The save-game is about 3 megs is size.

I have your mail, but I was unable to test it yet. I hope to be able to do it tonight, or tomorrow night.
 
I haven't found the cause of your crash, but however, I have found a way to circumvent it :)

When you load your game (in october or in november), open the console (F12) and type "event 3178"; this is a cheat that will trigger that particular event. It will work and it won't crash. For some reason, when the game calls this event it is crashing, but doing it manually will work.
