I know this is somewhere in the hints or elsewhere, but I can't find it. How far will a colonist travel between domes, assume of course no passageways? I'm meaning in the context of changing their home dome. I remember early on in the game development that colonist would just start walking and if the new dome was out of range they would die(!), but now they just don't go. I'm just wondering what the max distance is that they would travel on foot to go to a new home dome.

Thanks!

Two things you can do to get a feeling for that: If you try to manually resettle a colonist, you will get an "out of reach" message if it's too far. And when you decide where to land a passenger rocket, it will show "x domes in walkable distance".
I have to admit that I still overestimated this in one of my last games though, it really is not quite clear.

2-3ish basic dome lengths away. They're also not smart enough to go to between domes in order to reach. So if you have 1 dome in the middle there'd have to be room there to get settled, then send them onwards to the destination dome.

The right medium dome can reach the left basic dome. It can't reach the right basic dome.
