Hey boys and girls,

First of all, on behalf of the entire Critical Studio crew, I'd like to welcome you to Dungeonland!

We are SUPER excited about how many of you have supported our game, and grateful that we are embarking on this journey together.

We had a very satisfying launch, and had loads of fun with many of you in-game already. Of course, as with any game launch, there are issues. We are listening, and we are fixing.

Today the good news is that we sorted out the Pre-Order DLC not being available. Enjoy your new toys, DMs!

We also improved performance all-around. For those of you with high-end PCs experiencing stutters, let us know if the problem is still there.

In the (very) near future we will patch a PING function for the Server Browser which should vastly improve your experience. Many of you who are reporting crashes and connection failures are in fact connection to extremely poor/distant hosts.

See you in-game!

Abraços,

The Critical Studio Crew

Dungeonland Update 1.0.5975 - Changelog

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug that would cause the PreOrder and Beta bonuses to be unavailable
Fixed a bug in DM Possession Ability Heal that would cause the heal value to be doubled
Fixed a bug where the Carrer Gold Stat would not display the correct value
Fixed a bug where dying without killing any sheeps would give you the Friend Sheep Achievement
Fixed a bug wher Game options would be corrupted at first game launch
Fixed a bug where the Dragon´s death would not leave any body parts
Fixed a bug where the Lumber Tree´s thrown log in Berserk mode would not leave a perceivable trail

Improvements and Optimizations
Performance improvement in the FX System
Performance improvement in the AI code
Substantially reduced the in-game dynamic memory usage. Might mitigate the stuttering problems some people are experiencing.
Improved Monkey Commander's skills performance

I dont know the rest of us, but this new patch really works for me! no more stuttering problems, game is running pretty smooth, there are still a few annoying bugs though.. such as the different background songs mixing and it seems the perk that its suppose to give me life on hit isnt working.
and in long matches the performance starts to drop drastically.
in DM mode there are some spells very imbalanced... and I could keep going on.. but you get the idea.. there's a lot to do yet.

The change is very noticable. 2 of my friends and myself enjoyed the better performance and thankfully lack of lag. Adding a function that allows other players be the DM other than the host would be great since currently only one of my friends can host (despite we having ok connections) which is annoying.

this has indeed improved the game performance quite a bit!

Almost all the stuttering is gone, but:
still experiencing a single lag whenever the position of my character is "forcibly" changed (bully push, e.g.).
whenever my character dies, game lags briefly and flicks a black screen.

The patch do nothing for me performance-wise (you can check my log at the sticky lag and low fps thread) instead it introduce crashing upon exiting the game. But i do notice the AI is much reliable.

Thanks for the patch, this greatly improved in-game performance for me.

The game however still freezes for several minutes when I try to join an online match, though this might be related to ping issues.

The patch seems good overall, but there seems to be what acts like a memory leak. I have noticed in multiplayer games the longer the game goes the more the game exhibits stuttering/ low frame performance. I have even seen it stop registering hits against static objects (barrels and such) and have taken damage from beer puddles that were not drawn on the screen when it gets real bad (75 minute game using continues in adventure mode). While the instinct is to blame the connection I have experienced it with random players, but also with someone playing in the same room. I have also noticed that the mouse cursor will even move slower on the main screen (that is Internet connection is not even relevant at that point) when this is happening. However, if the players quit the application, then restart a game, everything is back to smooth. Thus why I suspect a memory leak.

I suspect that too...
I hope they are working on it

Nice patch indeed

Still an issue
- Bots get stuck in corners when fighting mobs a normal player would be able to walk out of
- Long game = performance hog

Future improvements to look at
- Bots don't use potions at all or very rarely in weird situations
- Monster circle (pre-order) is overpowered compared to Tier 3 - 4 mana spell and sometimes even the 6mana Elite spell
- Ring of fire doesn't seem to do much

Future nice to haves
- Switch DM in lobby
- Able to filter away games that have no players
- Lower gold DM receives when playing against bots in private match (GOLD FARMING)
- DM can change bot composition if lobby isn't full (often stuck with mage rogue mage and nobody can change the bot mage)
- Add more difficulties in adventure mode (often get totally slaughtered in hard mode, base difficulty, so my friends quit as they get frustrated - maybe easy and normal)

Thank you guys for a great game and I hope there will be some nice future DLC as well
