Summary

Duplicate capitals for three English provinces at 1700 or later game start

Description

This is probably more of a duplicate error than a bug but, in examining the province history files (.../history/provinces/) on vanilla install (not mods), I discovered that there are duplicates of the following line in the history files for three English provinces:

Code:
1700.1.1 = { capital = "Birmingham" }

Which means that, if you start the game in 1700 or later, you will end up with Birmingham as capital of *three* English provinces at the same time. Clearly, the city of Birmingham is trying to be very important, maybe too important for their good. ;)

The three English provinces in question, with the following province IDs, are:
Norfolk (1860)
Derby (1861)
Leicester (4376)

This is likely to be a case of accidental copying without thorough checking. My guess is that the correct province for Birmingham to be a capital of in the game probably should be Derby, but not sure.

It is possible that there may be other cases of duplicates elsewhere in the said folder, so I would recommend a thorough checking of the province history files whenever possible for the duplicate errors like this.
