courtier commanding an army inherits nonnational lands yet still commands my army

I married my daughter to son of moskva leader gaining him to my court
I go to war and he ends up commanding an army i've mobilized
I fight several wars against pagans and sometime during this his father dies and he becomes leader of 2 prov moskva that are not of my empire
My army still has him listed as leader and when it does seiges for me during wars the lands go to moskva not me...yes I could simply disband and reform that army but huge demense penalty that army would take a hit ..

seriously doubt this is supposed to happen
