Dissapearing court members

I just got a daughter and married her to someone from mecklberg , he had 15 martial skill points so I assigned him as my marshall.
I checked my court to see if he was assigned and he was .. some time later , roughly 1 year later, I am looking through my court members for a new chancellor (my last one died) and I see my marshall is missing? What the hell is going on here? I definitely never noticed this feature prior to updating my game  as the game progressed I kept an eye on this situation and I was quite pissed off to notice several of my court members much of which I had assigned as chancellor, spy master etc. had dissapered , what is going on here? before anyone suggests, I gave no land to these people (husband or wife) so they couldn't be governing their own land somwhere.

Now I am stuck with a marshall with 9 skill points an intestinal worm and a hunchback  he was my best marshall because both of the previous ones dissapeared  I hope this is a bug and not a new feature.

Characters will migrate to their closests relatives in the game. Usually, this is no problem for you, but occasionally someone will disappear (or appear without notice ;)). I don't know if that is what is happening in your case, but is quite possible.

Though, the only result that seems to make sense in your case is that these people inherited titles elsewhere...

There are 2 things you can do to help us verify if it's a bug or not:

1 - Click on your daughter portrait from your main character screen, and from her character screen, click on her spouse portrait to see where your good marshal has gone.

2 - Verify you are not the pope controler, and that the pope is not assigning all your characters as bishops all over the world (this is a known problem).

Thanks,
