It's a question of OCD really - A tile should be equally wide on both sides, not rectangular. I can read the old ASCII theme just fine, but I cannot stand measuring out rooms that appear "taller" than they really are :happy:

I know what you mean :laugh: It gets worse with some graphics packs though!
 
I think the convention is that when referring to the actual, real-life people "dwarfs" is preffered to "dwarves."

Emulating Tolkien, I use Dwarves and Dwarven in fantasy contexts. It should be noted that Tolkien was himself an English Professor of some note and repute, so he presumably knew what he was doing.

I would argue, The English language is far from linear and very, very much debatable. But as a lover of Tolkien's work... I don't dispute the word usage!

To add to this, in astronomical context, it's "white dwarfs", not "white dwarves". Same for other types of tiny (sub-)stars. But in a fantasy context, I would go with "dwarves" due to my following the Tolkienian creed :)
